I am about to start writing about the Bisdee branch of my family. My grandmother Merlve was a Bisdee, born to George John and Daisy Bisdee. George John seemed to live a colourful life, I have found many newspaper articled on his unsavoury ways. from stealing tins of milk, to being declared bankrupt and avoiding collectors for 7 years, to being accused of burning down a house, but was let of as there was no evidence! Also an assault charge. I have found all this information from Trove, Kalgoorlie Miner and the Kalgoorlie Argus. Kalgoorlie Western Argus (WA : 1896 - 1916), Tuesday 14 January 1908 Kalgoorlie Miner (WA : 1895 - 1950), Friday 5 February 1915 Kalgoorlie Western Argus (WA : 1896 - 1916), Tuesday 1 June 1915, George John and Daisy Bisdee on their wedding day 1911.

AuthorMy name is Davina and I have been researching my family history since 2011. I started with almost nothing but ended up with a wealth of information and I needed an outlet to show and display all the information I have found. Archives
