My cousin emailed me our grandmothers (Mavis Shearer nee Simpson) birth certificate yesterday and as I was looking it over, I saw that her mother was listed as Jessie McIntosh Simpson, not Isabella Simpson who I have on my tree, she was 19 years old, Took a little while of looking over the tree to discover the birth certificate listed her maiden name, not a married name, and no father. So one can assume, an unwed very young mother in 1914 having a child it would be passed off as her parents child, after all my grandmother was only 4 years younger then her aunt Jean. That puts Frederick and Isabella Simpson not as our great grandparents, but great great grandparents and no clue to where to go on our grandmothers father, as he is not listed.... Come on DNA lets see what that will bring!!
The Hahnel page is being constructed today. I just wrote a Hahnel Biography for the Outback Family History website after posting a picture on one of the Western Australian family history pages I am a member of on Facebook ( I think it might have been the Western Australian Pioneers and Settlers ) I was asked if I had more information on the Hahnel family, so I ended up writing an essay! 1600 words later and I have the Hahnel's written, so now its time to paste it into my blog and upload the pictures! |
AuthorMy name is Davina and I have been researching my family history since 2011. I started with almost nothing but ended up with a wealth of information and I needed an outlet to show and display all the information I have found. Archives
